Monday, April 4th, 2011 Black Mondays are proud to present Steel Tigers of Death! live at the Surly Wench Pub. It’s been awhile since Monday nights have had a live show so we’re super excited to have such an awesome band play. DJs Matt McCoy and Dewtron kicking things off at 9pm, band goes on around 10:30ish. The Surly Wench will be slinging $1 PBRs, $1.50 Wells, and the best part is that it’s FREE to get in. Do Not miss this show!
Tonight Bang! Bang! welcomes guest Joel Davis aka DJ Epidemic. Since 2004, he’s made his name state wide and across the country playing shows and producing remixes, touring as the official DJ for Brooklyn’s most exciting act, Silver Medallion, and being featured in local and national publications such as the Phoenix New Times and 944 Magazine. Let’s give him a warm Tucson welcome as he promises to rock the dancefloor tonight. Also make sure to peep his website. He’s got some awesome DJ Mixes for download.
Representing South Tucson, Ernesto Vega aka DJ E_Rupt is one of Tucson’s not so hidden Treasures. He’s been blowin up Bang Bang for a couple years now and is also on heavy rotation at Black Mondays. The dude has flawless mixes, unique music selection, and puts tons of thought & energy into his sets. Make sure to catch his set tonight at Club Congress. He’ll be the dude in the Toros poncho.

Congratulations to our First Place Winner of the Lady Gaga Coloring contest. We had tons of outstanding submissions which can be viewed at the Black Mondays Facebook page. We’ve also had an overwhelming response for more blank sheets so we’re adding a link you can download. Feel free to make prints for yourself, friends, and family =)
My good friend and original Bang! Bang! resident sent me a mix via his new stomping grounds in Los Angeles. Fingers crossed we can get him back in town for a live DJ set before the summer is over. Send him some love, props, or jokes via his facebook here.

On Thursday 07.15.10 we celebrate our true undying hatred for Lady Gaga at the Surly Wench Pub. We love all our friends involved with the Gaga themed party at Club Congress the same night, but our hatred for Lady Gaga runs deeper than the Darkside of the force. Here’s a few things we have planed for our party…
CD Burning! (Bring a laptop and burn CDs for friends with music that’s better than Lady Gaga). We’ll also setup a special trash can for all things Lady Gaga since you obviously can’t set stuff on fire in the bar.
Lady Gaga Pinata!
Lady Gaga Coloring Contest!
And music by DJs who’ve never had to play a Lady Gaga song to fill a dance floor. Matt McCoy, Eric Meyer & E_Rupt.
Way overdue, but I finally put a new mix together. Woohoo! Similar to the other ones, it represents a taste of what we play at Bang! Bang! on Saturday nights.

In honor of the new year & decade, I’m making an effort to resolve some past resolutions as well as instate much needed new ones. The first being… put out a mix at least once a month! One down, several to go. This mixcast has some new, some old, but all representing a taste of what we play at Bang! Bang!. No bangers, No BS, just some good jams. Also, our 3 year anniversary party is coming up on January 30th 2010. I’m hoping to get some mixes from our guest DJs that night to post up soon. Happy New Year Everyone!!!

The squarenoise design studio has diversified it’s bonds and reinvested in a new company vehicle. I went with a super smooth 2010 Raleigh Rush Hour, switched the drop downs to bullhorns, cages to platforms, and finished it off with some custom squarenoise decals. This bike is so much fun to ride and I can’t get enough. In fact, I just rode the 35 mile leg of El Tour De Tucson last Saturday and can’t wait for next years event.
